Tamil Nadu School Holidays: Schools closed In Chennai, Several Districts on Alert Due to Heavy Rains

TN Schools Closed: Chennai District Collector Rashmi Siddharth Zagade has announced a holiday for schools in Chennai today, November 13, 2024. The holiday has been announced considering the yellow alert issued across multiple districts. Alerts have been issued for 12 districts on November 12 and 17 districts for November 13. Alerts have also been issued for 27 districts on November 14 and 25 districts on November 15.

According to IMD reports, heavy rainfall is likely to occur in isolated places over Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, Chengalpattu, Cuddalore, Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Pudukottai, Ramanathapuram, Villupuram districts along with Puducherry and Karaikal areas.
