CUET UG 2024: The registration and application process for CUET UG 2024 is expected to begin soon. The applications will be available on the official website. With the registration process expected to begin next week the UGC chairman has announced a few changes to be incorporated in the third edition of the entrance exam.
CUET UG 2024 in Hybrid Mode
UGC chairman Jagadesh Kumar mentioned that NTA is planning to conduct the exams in such a way that normalisation of marks will not be required. As per the details available, the CUET UG 2023 exams are likely to be conducted in the hybrid mode which means that the exam will be held both offline OMR sheet) and online (computer-based). This will benefit students as they will be able to attempt the exam in a city of their choice.

The hybrid mode of exam will help the CUET UG exams to be held in a shorter duration. Subjects with a larger registration will have exams in the pen-paper mode while subjects with smaller registration will have the exam in the CBT mode. Exams will be held for a subject on a single day which will eliminate the requirements for score normalisation.
The UGC chairman stated that for the last two years, the exams for the same paper have been conducted over two or three days to provide the first choice centre to students as much as possible. This year however with the hybrid mode coming into place a larger number of centres will be available at schools and colleges providing NTA with the option to conduct tests across the country on the same day.
CUET UG applications are expected to be released by February 28, 2024. The applications will be available on the official website. Students in class 12 and those who have completed class 12 interested in appearing for the CUET UG exams can visit the official website for further details.
