NEET PG 2024 Postponed: The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test Postgraduate, NEET PG 2024 has been postponed. The Health Ministry will announce the fresh dates for the medical entrance exam soon. The administration referencing the significant dispute concerning potential misconduct in the NEET-UG and UGC-NET programs proclaimed its decision to conduct an in-depth evaluation of the strength of procedures for NEET-PG, carried out by the National Board of Examination for medical students.
NEET PG 2024 Postponed for Students’ Welfare
"It has accordingly been decided, as a precautionary measure, to postpone the NEET-PG scheduled to be held tomorrow (June 23). Fresh date of this examination will be notified at the earliest," the Health Ministry said, adding it "sincerely regrets the inconvenience caused to students".
The government has asserted that the decision has been taken for the welfare of students and to maintain the paramountcy of NEET PG 2024.
NTA Chief, Director General Replaced Amidst Controversy
Meanwhile, just an hour before the postponement news came, the govt. ordered the replacement of the NTA chief who conducts NEET UG and UGC NET.
Subodh Kumar Singh, NTA Director General has been replaced by retired Indian Administration Service (IAS) officer Pradeep Singh Kharola. This shows that the government is taking concrete steps against the perpetrators.
