GATE 2024 Dress Code: IISc Bangalore will conduct the GATE 2024 exams from February 3, 2024. The GATE 2024 exam dates are February 3, 4, 10 and 11, 2024. Candidates preparing to appear for the GATE 2024 exams must cross-check the exam day guidelines and instructions carefully.
The GATE 2024 admit card has to be carried by students to the exam centre. The admit card will include the candidate's name, exam details, and the exam day instructions.
On the GATE 2024 exam day students are advised to wear comfortable clothes and follow the exam day guidelines issued. Students are advised not to wear jackets or any other metal embellishments on their clothes on exam day.
The admit card for the GATE 2024 exam is a mandatory document and students are also required to carry with them their photo ID card on the GATE 2024 exam day.

The GATE 2024 exam is being held in two shifts. Shift 1 will be held from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and the second shift will be held from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Students are advised to reach the exam centre atleast an hour before the commencement of the exam to complete the registration and identification purposes.

GATE 2024 Things to Carry
Candidates appearing for the GATE 2024 exams are required to carry the following items with them to the exam centre

GATE 2024 Dress Code
Candidates appearing for the GATE 2024 exam must make sure to follow the exam day guidelines. The details regarding the GATE 2024 dress code to be followed by students are given below.
- Candidates appearing for the GATE 2024 exam must wear loose-fitting and comfortable clothing.
- Clothes with metallic buttons or other metal embellishments are strictly prohibited.
- Students are not allowed to cover their heads with hats, scarves or any type of fabric.
- Jewellery of any kind is not permitted
- Watches and smartwatches are strictly prohibited along with mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, and headphones.
- Students must avoid wearing shoes but instead opt for comfortable footwear like flip-flops or sandals.
