Delhi Government Schools Showcase improved performance in NEET and JEE Main 2020

A majority of the students from Delhi Government Schools have qualified the NEET 2020 and JEE 2020 examinations according to state Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Check school performance here.

A majority of the students from Delhi Government Schools have qualified the NEET 2020 and JEE 2020 examinations according to state Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The Delhi Chief Minister and Deputy CMand Education Minister Manish Sisodia congratulated the students for their performance in the national level entrance examinations conducted in September 2020. The Chief Minister further added that money will not be a problem for the students in getting higher education since the Delhi Government has arranged for scholarships and loans up to Rs. 10 Lakh for the students. 

Delhi Government School Performance

According to reports, a total of 569 students from government schools in Delhi have qualified the NEET 2020 examinations while 433 students have cleared the JEE Main 2020 examinations with 53 among them eligible for the JEE Advanced 2020. 379 out of the total students who have qualified the NEET 2020 exams are girls and 48 students have secured over 520 marks out of 720 in the NEET 2020 exams. 

With respect to the JEE examinations 2020 five students from RPVV, Paschim Vihar have qualified the exams. The Chief Minister while congratulating the students who have qualified the examinations also pointed out that good education can eradicate poverty from the country in one generation itself. 

Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia in the tweet congratulated the students from the Delhi Government schools who have qualified for the NEET and JEE entrance examinations. The Deputy CM stated that the Delhi Government schools have set yet another performance benchmark with respect to qualifying examinations. 

NEET 2020 cutoff for Reserved Category

The NEET 2020 cutoffs for the reserved category students increased to 720-147 in the nd 2020 results which were declared on October 16, 2020. The deputy CM while mentioning the achievements of the students from the Delhi Government schools also added that in the NEET 2020 exam 29 students from a single school in Molarband, 24 students from a single school in Yamuna Vihar, and 23 students from a single school in Noor Nagar qualified the examinations. He further added that there are many schools in Delhi where there are more than 5 students who have cleared the NEET 2020 examinations this year.
