DU Admissions 2020: As per the data shared by the University of Delhi, a total of 4800 application were received by the varsity for DU Admissions 2020 under the 2nd Cut-off List 2020 released last Saturday on Day 2. On Monday, officials from Delhi University confirmed that a total of 4,882 students applied, which is much lower as compared to Day 1 on which 9,785 students had applied. However, when it comes to admission approvals, Day 2 saw higher number with 6,024 admissions being confirmed as compared to 2,580 admissions on Day 1.

2nd Cut-off List Released on Saturday
Earlier on Saturday, the Delhi University released its 2nd Cut-off List which saw cut-offs for only a few courses come down in popular colleges of the national capital. Admission to many popular courses including BA Political Science were closed after 1st Cut-off List itself owing to the high cut-offs this year. Admission under 2nd cut-off lists will continue until 21st October 2020.
As per a PTI report “Lady Shri Ram College for Women had pegged 100 per cent score for three courses -- BA (Honours) Psychology, BA (Honours) Political Science and BA (Honours) Economics. Seats are available under the three courses with aspirants requiring 99 per cent for BA (Honours) Economics and 99.75 per cent for both BA (Honours) Psychology and BA (Honours) Political Science. Admission to BA (Honours) History is not available in Bharati College, DCAC, BR Ambedkar, Hansraj, Hindu, IP College for Women, Kamala Nehru, Kirori Mal, Laxmibai, Maitreyi, Motilal Nehru and Rajdhani colleges.”
50% Seats Filled via 1st Cut-off List
As per the details shared by the university officials, of the total around 70,000, approx. 50% of the seats to undergraduate courses were filled on the basis of 1st Cut-Off List. The 1st Cut-off List was released on 10th October 2020. This year, the admission process is completely being held online due to the coronavirus pandemic.
