The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar is now inviting applications for admission to MTech programs for the academic year 2025-26. According to the latest update, candidates can submit their applications for MTech courses via the official website, iitgn.ac.in. The registration deadline is April 16.

IIT Gandhinagar offers admission to a variety of MTech courses, including Biological Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Earth System Science, Electrical Engineering, and more.
For the 2025 IIT Gandhinagar MTech admissions, the application fee is Rs 150 for SC, ST, and PD candidates, while it is Rs 300 for all other applicants.
Candidates can apply only through the online mode. However, if applying for more than one program, a separate application form must be submitted for each.
IIT Gandhinagar will provide a monthly scholarship of Rs 12,400 to candidates admitted to full-time MTech programs. Candidates enrolled in PGDIIT programs, however, will not be eligible for any stipend or scholarship.
IIT Gandhinagar Admissions 2025: Eligibility Criteria for MTech Programs
The following outlines the eligibility requirements for admission to the IIT Gandhinagar MTech programs.
- Candidates must have at least 55% marks in BE, BTech, or a 4-year BS degree, or an MSc or equivalent in the relevant branches. For candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories, the minimum required marks are 50%.
- Candidates with a valid GATE score at the time of the interview and written test are also eligible to apply for the MTech program.
- GATE is not mandatory for applying to the PGDIIT program.
- BTech graduates from IITs with a CGPA of 8.0 or higher are also eligible to apply without appearing for GATE.
Furthermore, the eligibility criteria mentioned above are the minimum requirements, and disciplines may apply higher cut-off levels for shortlisting candidates. Candidates from SC, ST, and PD categories will be eligible for relaxations in the selection criteria.
