Winter Vacation Jharkhand Schools Closed From Dec 26 to31 Due To Cold Wave
Winter Vacation has been announced for schools in Jharkhand from December 26 to 31, 2023. Schools will remain closed due to the extreme cold-wave situation. Further updates regarding the school reopening will be notified.
Jharkhand Schools Closed: Jharkhand state government has announced a holiday for all government and private schools in the state due to the cold wave situation in the state. As per the official notification released, schools will remain closed in Jharkhand from December 26 to 31, 2023.
As per the notification issued by the state school education and literacy department, considering the increasing effect of the cold wave all the government and non-government aided and unaided schools will remain closed from December 26 to 31, 2023. The notification further states that considering the secondary and higher secondary board examination, the concerned schools can conduct classes for students from classes 10 and 12 as per requirement.
As of Wednesday, December 20, 2023, the minimum temperature in Jharkhand was recorded between 7 degrees to 11 degrees Celsius. Garhwa in Jharkhand recorded the lowest temperature in the state at 6.6 degrees Celsius followed by Daltonganj at 7.9 degrees Celsius. Ranchi recorded a minimum temperature of 10.04 degrees Celsius while Jamshedpur recorded 10/7 degrees Celsius. Ramgarh and Bokaro recorded 8.5 degrees Celsius temperature while Chaibasa recorded 8.6 degrees Celsius.
