Winter Vacation in Delhi Schools 2023: With the advent of December, the biting cold has also arrived. The state government announces the Delhi winter break every year to protect students from harsh winter weather. This year, the Directorate of Education has announced the Delhi winter holidays from January 1 to 6, 2024. Students have to return to the schools from January 8, 2024 (Monday). NO physical classes will not be held in any school during this period. However, if the school authorities want, they can take online classes.

Winter Vacations in Delhi Schools 2023-24 to Prepone?

Due to the degrading air quality index in Delhi, the government may consider advancing the Delhi winter break once again. However, there is no official confirmation as of now. Keep checking this page for the latest updates. 

Winter Vacation in Delhi Schools 2023 REDUCED?

Yes, the Delhi winter vacation 2023 has been curtailed from 15 days to 6 days this year. The authorities decided to lessen the holidays to cover the education loss that happened due to air pollution in the city. Earlier, the Delhi government had to announce day-offs from November 9 to 18, 2023 due to a worsening air quality index in Delhi. Thus to compensate for those days, the winter vacation in Delhi schools has been curtailed.

All schools in Delhi including private ones shall remain closed between January 1 and 6, 2023. Schools in Delhi will be reopening on January 8, since the day before it is a Sunday,

Students and parents must be wondering when the will authorities announce Winter Vacation in UP 2024. They should note that the orders for winter break have not been given till now. However, it is expected that the news will be given shortly.
