Lucknow School News Today: Schools in Lucknow Closed Upto Class 8; Timings Changed for 9 to 12

Lucknow School News Today: The winter break for Lucknow schools has been extended due to a significant drop in temperature. Now, classes up to the 8th shall remain closed until January 6, 2024. Whereas, classes from 9 to 12 shall operate with late timings.

Lucknow School News Today: The winter break for Lucknow schools has been extended due to a significant drop in temperature. As per the orders, due to the cold wave, classes up to the 8th shall remain closed until January 6, 2024. However, the authorities have modified the school timings for students from class 9 to 12. Parents and students can keep checking this page for Lucknow school news. 

As per the revised timings, the classes shall operate between 10.00 AM and 3.00 PM. The decision has been taken considering the safety of the students. If any school does not recognise the order will have to face strict action.

An official letter issued to all the schools in Lucknow reads, “Regarding the above-mentioned matter, you are aware that at present a cold wave is going on in the entire state including Lucknow district and it is extremely cold. In accordance with the instructions given by the District Magistrate, you are ordered to ensure leave for all the children studying in your school from pre-primary to Class 8 till 06.01.2024.’’

‘’If classes from class 9 to 12 are being conducted then their timings should be kept between 10:00 am to 03:00 pm only. Strict compliance of the above should be ensured. Strict action will be taken as per rules against the school which does not ensure compliance with the above,’’ it added.

Noida Schools Closed till January 6

Meanwhile, Schools in Noida will remain closed from today, January 3, 2024, to January 6, 2024. The schools will be closed for students for students from classes 1 to 8 due to the ongoing cold wave in the northern region of the country.

The announcement regarding the school holidays was made by the Gautam Buddha Nagar district administration. As per the notification released, classes will continue as usual for students of classes 9 to 12. Due to the extreme weather conditions, schools were closed for all classes on December 29 and 30, 2023.
