UP Fog Warnings, Schools Closed, Timings Revised, Check Latest Updates Here

Schools in several districts of UP will remain closed while a few have revised their timings for classes. The weather department has announced cautions on extreme fog and cold weather. Check detaiils here

UP Schools Closed: Dense fog and severe cold weather conditions in Uttar Pradesh has lead to the several districts announcing winter vacations and alternative timings for schools. Banaras and Firozabad districts in UP have announced winter vacations for schools while schools in Kashi will remain closed for students from class 1 to 8 until January 6, 2024. Schools in Firozabad will remain closed until January 14, 2024. 

Many of the schools in the state have switched to online classes instead of announcing a holiday. Students and parents are advised to contact the school administrations regarding regular updates on the reopening of schools. 

The weather department has issued warnings of dense fog for northern states. The department has issued a warning for the states of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, North Rajasthan abd North Madhya Pradesh. Citizens are advised to maintain caution while driving and use fog lights. 

UP Schools Winter Vacation

Schools in Uttar Pradesh will remain closed from January 1 to 15, 2023 while several districts have announced the revision of school timings. Schools in districts like Mathura have revised the school timings to 10 am to 3 pm amidst the severe cold conditions. Schools in Ghaziabad have also revised the timings. Schools in Noida were also closed until Saturday and a revision of extension od dates are yet to be announced.
