Tripura Examinations Postponed: Considering the current COVID-19 situation, the Tripura State Government has postponed the undergraduate and postgraduate examinations for the government and private universities and the class 10 and 12 pre-board exams. The Tripura Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath in a tweet has announced that the state education department has decided to postpone the Class 10 and 12 pre-board exams of the government, semi-government, private, and Madrassa until further notice. He further added that the undergraduate and postgraduate exams for the universities have also been postponed until further notice. The order will be in effect from today - April 26, 2021.
The Tripura Education Department in its order to postpone the class 10 and 12 examinations has mentioned that the order will be applicable for all the government, government-aided, private schools, and madrassas of the state. The education minister on April 16 said that the s schools in the state will remain closed while the board exams will be conducted as per schedule. The Tripura board class 10 exams were scheduled to begin from May 19, 2021, while the class 12 exams were to commence from May 18, 2021. Although the order for postponing the class 10 and 12 pre-board exams has been announced, there is no decision on the final exams.
On April 23, 2021, the state government decided to postpone the final exams for the students from classes 3 to 9 and 11 until further notice. In the order issued it has been stated that all the exams scheduled for the class 3 to 9 and 11 students will be treated as postponed with immediate effect from April 26 2021 until further notice.
