Telangana state government will begin the online classes for the students from class 11 and 12 from August 17, 2020. The information was provided on the official website of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education. On the other hand, the classes for the students from class 6 to 10 are scheduled to commence from August 20, 2020, while for the other students, the classes will commence from September 1, 2020.
According to the information provided, the classes for the students will be aired through Doordarshan and T-SAT network channels. The council has also made the attendance for the teachers 50 percent mandatory from August 17, 2020.
Admissions to Intermediate Courses
The admissions to the intermediate courses will begin from September 1, 2020, for the students who have completed the class 10 board exams this year and are awaiting the admissions for class 11.
Admissions for the degree programmes are also scheduled to commence from August 20, 2020, onwards. The degree admissions in the colleges in Telangana will be conducted through the DOST Website which is a single-window for those seeking admissions to the undergraduate courses.
New features included in DOST portal
Keeping the COVID-19 pandemic in mind new features have been incorporated in the DOST admission system. The portal also features Real-Time Digital Face Recognition of T App Folio which is applicable only for the students who have passed out from the Telangana board. Along with this, an online grievance system has been introduced to resolve the issues of the candidates during the application process.
Telangana Common Entrance Test
The Telangana state government has announced that state common entrance tests will be conducted from the second week of September in the state. According to the dates provided, the TS EAMCET 2020 exams will be conducted from September 9 to 14, 2020 while the TS POLYCET 2020 exams will be conducted on September 2 and the TS ECET exam will be conducted on August 31, 2020.
