Schools Closed in Hapur Till August 2 In View of Kanwar Yatra

Hapur Schools Closed: Uttar Pradesh’s Hapur administration has announced a school holiday for all government and private schools until August 2, 2024, because of the Kanwar Yatra. Schools will remain closed from today, July 26 to August 2, 2024. Students and parents are advised to keep in touch with the school administration for updates. 

District Magistrate Prerna Sharma while addressing the media stated that until now diversions were ordered for heavy vehicles only and from July 26 light vehicles will also be diverted. All government and private schools have also been given a holiday to ensure that nobody facses any issues while travelling. All government and public schools will remain closed during this period.  

Apart from Hapur, schools in Haridwar will also remain close from July 27 to August 2, 2024. District Magistrate of Haridwar has stated that the decision to close schools has been taken due to the huge rush of devotees expected to arrive for the Kanwar Yatra.
