School Holidays: Schools in 4 Districts Including Chennai Closed Tomorrow Due to Heavy Rain

Chennai Schools Closed: Schools, colleges and other educational institutions in Chennai and four other districts will remain closed tomorrow, October 15, 2024. TN Chief Minister, MK Stalin has announced the school holidays for tomorrow owing to the alert issued by the India Meteorological Department. 

As per reports, an orange alert has been issued for tomorrow and a red alert for the day after tomorrow. Considering this, schools in Chennai, Chengalpet, Thiruvallur and Kancheepuram will remain closed tomorrow.

The district collector has confirmed that schools and colleges will remain open today however schools in four districts including Chennai will remain closed tomorrow. A Red alert has been issued for the region for Wednesday. A decision regarding school holidays for Wednesday will be made based on the weather condition tomorrow. The CM in the notification issued has advised IT companies to allow Work From Home for all employees between October 15 and 17, 2024.
