School Holidays in Pune: Primary and Secondary Schools in Several Areas Closed Due to Heavy Rainfall

Pune Schools Closed Today, July 25, 2024

The district administration in various parts of Pune City, Pimpri, Chinchwad and other western parts has announced a holiday for primary and secondary schools today, July 25, 2024. According to the order issued by District Collector Suhas Diwase, all the primary schools from Pune, Pimpri Chinchwad, Maval, Mulshi, Bhor Velha, Khed, Ambegaon, Junnar Haveli will remain closed.

The areas have been experiencing heavy rains in the last 24 hours. Lonavala has received 300 mm of rainfall while Lavasa has received 417 mm, and Junnar has received 214 mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours.

Diwase in his order also mentioned that the fire brigade and disaster management cell have been deployed in low-lying areas. The people have also been advised not to step out unless absolutely necessary.
