School Holiday News: Uttarakhand Schools Closed Due to Tiger’s Activity
Given the tiger’s activity in Jakhnidhar tehsil of Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand, schools will remain closed on September 23, and 24, 2024. An order has been issued by Pauri District Magistrate Ashish Chauhan, announcing a two-day holiday in 9 schools and all Anganwadi centers of the Dwarikhal area.

School Holiday News: Assam Schools Closed Till September 27
Schools in the Kamrup district of Assam will remain shut till September 27, 2024, due to excessive heat. The four-day holiday has been announced keeping the safety and well-being of students in mind. All the government and private educational institutions in Kamrup (including Guwahati) shall remain closed between September 24 and September 27. The decision was made after hearing complaints from several schools that the students were fainting or falling sick due to extreme heat.

"Based on the reports received from Head of the Institutions of different schools under Kamrup Metro regarding various incidents of ill-health and fainting of students due to excessive heat and dehydration and with due approval from District Commissioner, Kamrup Metro, it has been decided that all Govt/Provincialized/ Private schools functioning under Kamrup Metro district are to remain close from 24th to 27 September 2024 due to excessive heat and rising temperature in the district," an official notification stated.
