The Odisha state government has revised the school timing for the students considering the IMD forecast of possible hot weather across the state during the summer. According to the notification released by the School and Mass Education department, the school timings for the students from classes 9 and 11 will be from 7 AM to 9 AM while the classes for the students from classes 10 and 12 will be conducted from 8 AM to 12 PM.
The Odisha School and Mass Education Minister S R Dash stated that the government will be reviewing the situation and the school timings.
The school timing for the students was from 7 AM to 1 PM.
Odisha Schools to conduct exams online for class 9, 11
The Odisha state government has been issued fresh COVID-19 guidelines for March 2021 where it has been stated that the schools must conduct the exams online for the students from classes 9 and 11.
The Special Relief Commissioner has also asked the schools to conduct the exams online due to the fear of rising COVID-19 infection in the state. According to the guidelines issued the school and mass education department is also planning to allow the schools to conduct the intra-school class promotion exams for the students from class 9 and 11 giving the students the option to take the exams online with the consent of the parents
