Noida, Greater Noida Schools Closed Until January 16 Due To Cold

Noida. Greater Noida Schools Closed: Considering the extreme cold weather, schools in Noida and Greater Noida have suspended classes for students from Nursery to class 8 until tomorrow, January 16, 2024. According to the official order, classes will be conducted for students from classes 9 to 12 from 10 am to 3 pm. Classes will continue until January 20, 2024, in the given schedule. 

Basic Education Officer Rahul Panwar stated that as per the instructions given by Gautam Buddha Nagar District Magistrate Maneesh Kumar Verma, due to the dense fog and extremely cold weather, all schools will be closed until January 16, 2024, for classes from nursery to class 8. The order further states that the entire staff of the school will remain working on January 16, 2024, and that the order issued must be followed. 

District Inspector of Schools, Dharmveer Singh in a separate order issued the details of the timing for the students of classes 9 to 12. According to this, classes will be conducted from 10 am to 3 pm due to the harsh weather conditions. Classes will continue in the given time until January 20, 2024. 

Delhi Schools Reopen Today

Schools in Delhi will reopen today after being closed for the winter vacations. Schools in the national capital were closed due to the dip in temperature and the dense fog and low visibility conditions prevailing over the last few days. Classes will however be conducted between 9 am to 5 pm. 

Chandigarh School Vacation Extended Till January 20

Government-aided and unaided schools in Chandigarh will remain closed until January 20, 2024, due to the severe cold weather. The winter holidays for schools in Chandigarh have been extended due to the weather. As per the notification released, schools in Chandigarh will reopen on January 22, 2024.
