NEP 2020: Madhya Pradesh to Form State-level Panel for Implementation of National Education Policy

National Education Policy (NEP) will be implemented in Madhya Pradesh soon with the help of a State-level panel. Higher Education Minister Mohan Yadav stated that various provisions will be announced for teachers and students to make sure that NEP 2020 is implemented effectively.

NEP 2020 in Madhya Pradesh: As per the updates, the National Education Policy (NEP) will be implemented in Madhya Pradesh soon with the help of a State-level panel. Department of Higher Education of Madhya Pradesh will be forming a State-level panel for the implementation of NEP 2020. After a meeting in the Mantralaya, Higher Education Minister of the state, Mohan Yadav told reporters that over 3,000 new courses will be introduced in the new academic year under NEP 2020.

National Education Policy completed its one year of implementation in July 2021. As the policy is being implemented in phases, Madhya Pradesh has announced its role in the same. As per media reports, Higher Education Minister Mohan Yadav told that various provisions would be announced for teachers and students to make sure that NEP 2020 is implemented effectively.

National Education Policy provisions will be explained in detail to all stakeholders, especially to the first-year undergraduate students. For these provisions, Frequently Asked Questions, FAQs would also be prepared to provide clarity to everyone. This committee/panel will ensure that NEP 2020 is implemented properly in the state and the benefit is reaped by everyone. Calling the implementation of National Education Policy an 'achievement', Yadav told reporters that it is the responsibility of everyone to make sure that NEP 2020 is implemented in a better way.

In order to provide better opportunities to students, the Higher Education Department would be starting 282 new certificate courses and 177 Diploma courses across 160 colleges in the state. These courses will be in accordance with the National Education Policy and more details on them will be available soon.

He stated that online and offline workshops would be organised for teachers to familiarise them with NEP 2020 and its provisions. As the next step in the implementation of National Education Policy, teachers will hold counselling sessions for students to inform them about the provisions of NEP 2020. Higher Education Department of Madhya Pradesh would also release provisions related to National Education Policy for students taking admission in first year undergraduate programs.
