Medical Counselling Committee has postponed the NEET UG 2024 counselling. The counselling registrations were expected to begin today July 6, 2024. Candidates eligible to apply for the online counselling process are advised to keep visiting the official counselling portal for latest updates.
NEET UG Counselling 2024: As per the latest media reports, the NEET UG counselling has been postponed until further notice. The NEET UG 2024 counselling registrations for the All India Quota were expected to begin on July 6, 2024. However, as per a recent Supreme Court order, the counselling process has been put on hold after the apex court refused to delay the NEET UG counselling process.
According to media reports, the updates have come after the Supreme Court refused to delay the NEET UG 2024 counselling scheduled for today. The court is set to hear various pleas on NEET UG on July 8, 2024. The petitions have been filed alleging paper leaks while some have demanded the cancellation of the exam and reconducting of the exams. Petitions have also been filed asking for a thorough investigation into the operations of the NEET UG conducting body - National Testing Agency
NEET UG counselling will be conducted separately for the All India Quota seats (15%) and state quota seats (85%). Eligible candidates will be required to visit the counselling website mcc.nic.in and begin by registering through the link given on the counselling website. A total of three rounds followed by a stray vacancy round for seats remaining under various categories will be conducted.
