NEET Results 2021: Students from the Tamil Nadu government schools and government-aided schools have improved their performance in the NEET 2021 examinations beyond expectations although the TN state government has been campaigning against the NEET Examinations stating that they will lead to the destruction of Medical Education in the state since it does not favour government school students.

As per media reports, in Madurai district, 88 students from the government schools have qualified the NEET UG examinations and as per the teachers and students of the area, the exceptional numbers were due to the students attending e-box training classes conducted by the School Education Department. According to the numbers provided 21 students from government schools qualified for the NEET Exams and secured admissions through the 7.5 percent reservations while 55 students are eligible to get admissions for the undergraduate medical programmes.
Madurai Chief Educational Officer R Swaminathan when speaking to the media stated that the e-box training of the School Education Department for the entrance exams was attended by 508 students from government and government-aided schools where three model exams were conducted helping the confidence of the students in appearing for the NEET Exams.
The District Education Department has claimed that the number of students who have qualified for the exams may increase to 60 once the data of the NEET Repeaters is released. All the districts in TN have shown a remarkable improvement in the performance of the government school, students and many of the students have also stated that they could understand the intricacies of the exams.
