NEET PG Round 1 State Quota Counselling


NEET PG State Quota Counselling 2020: The Medical Counselling Committee has begun the counselling process for the state medical postgraduate quota seats via NEET PG 2020. Those candidates who have appeared for the NEET PG 2020 examination and wish to take admissions in the medical colleges under the state quota are required to submit their registrations for the same now. 

According to the guidelines issued by the Medical Counselling Committee, the formalities of the NEET PG State Quota counselling 2020 will be conducted online which include the registration and allotment procedures. As per the latest notification released, the Round 1 of the state counselling is supposed to be completed by May 4, 2020. 

The Directorate General of Health Services of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare which is the conducting body for the NEET PG Counselling 2020 process has released a notification clarifying the allotment of seats to students under the reserved category. The official notification specifies two main sections of the clauses for the NEET PG  state quota Round 1 counselling which is elaborated below. 

The candidates belonging to the EWS/SC/ST/OBC/PwD category who have been allotted seats under the UR (General) Category in the NEET PG state Quota Counselling Round 1 2020 and such candidates who wish to opt for the UR (General) seats and participate under the EWS/SC/ST/OBC/PwD category in the upcoming counselling rounds are required to get thor category changed from EWS/SC/ST/OBC/PwD to UR (General) at the college level. It must be noted that only the candidates who got their category changes will be considered for the seats under the UR category. 

The candidates who wish to participate in the NEET PG State Quota counselling 2020  in the upcoming rounds under the EWS/OBC/SC/ST/PWD and also wish to retain their seats under the above-mentioned category are required to submit their  EWS/ST/SC/OBC/PwD Certificate during the first round of NEET PG Counselling 2020. In case the candidates are not allowed to produce thor certificates, the seats allotted will be cancelled. 

Candidates who have been allotted seats under their respective category (EWS/OBC/SC/ST/PWD) are required to submit the relevant documents and certificates at the time of admission or else the seats allotted will be cancelled for the said candidates. 

The notification to begin the state quota counselling Round 1 of the NEET PG 2020 counselling was released on April 17, 2020. The state medical colleges were asked to complete the round 1 state counselling by May 4, 2020, since the round 1 All India Quota NEET PG counselling 2020 had already been completed and the students who have been allotted seats have been asked to report to their respective allotted colleges online by April 24, 2020. 

The reporting of the candidates who have been allotted seats in Round  1 of the counselling has been allowed to be conducted online due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak and subsequent lockdown.
