NEET PG 2022: PIL to be filed by students in Supreme Court demanding postponement of exams

The demands for postponing the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test PG 2022 have caused a stir on social media since the exam dates have been announced by the National Board of Examinations. 

NBE has announced that the NEET PG 2022 examinations will be conducted on March 12, 2022. Students intending to appear for the exams are now preparing to file a PIL in the Supreme Court as the dates clash with the NEET PG 2021 Counselling procedure.

The idea of postponing the NEET PG 2022 exams has been supported by different stakeholders as many students feel that the demand is genuine and should be considered by the NBE. MP S Venkateshan also wrote to the Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya demanding a postponement of the NEET PG 2022 exams. 

NEET PG 2022 Exam Postponement Details

According to media reports, students are ready to file a PIL in Supreme Court as they are angry over the clash with NEET PG Counselling 2021 and the NEET PG 2022 exam dates. The PIL seeks for a postponement of NEET PG 2022 at least by a month and should be conducted after counselling procedures are completed.

Some of the students when speaking to the media stated that the process of filing a PIL is completed and a final slip for confirmation is expected in a few days and once received the NEET PG 2022 postponement matter is expected to be taken for hearing by the SC.

The All India JEE-NEET Students Association has also submitted a representation to the PMO asking for a postponement of the exams. The NEET PG 2021 Counselling is underway. The Round 1 Counselling procedure has been completed and the students eligible for the AIQ Round 2 Counselling can complete the registration process from February 2022.
