NEET PG 2022 Regulations
As per the regulations provided 30 bends of a hospital have to be assigned to one unit of students pursuing the PG programme. Now however two students of two academic sessions will have to be accommodated in the same facility.
The petition raises a challenge to the violation of NEET PG Regulations 2000 when admitting candidates for the academic sessions in a single session as there is a cap on the number of PG Admissions to be conducted per year per unit.
Internships halted due to COVID
Many MBBS graduates whose internships have been halted due to their duty in tackling the COVID-19 pandemic will be rendered ineligible from appearing in the NEET PG exams due to the lack of mandatory internship duty without their fault.
The petition filed refers to the statement made by PM Narendra Modi on May 2, 2-21 to postpone the NEET PG 2-21 exams by at least 4 months and the fact that the services of final year MBBS students will be utilized in handling the mild COVID cases. The petition challenges the condition provided in the NEET PG 2022 information bulletin which has given May 31, 2022, as the deadline for completing the internship.
