NEET Counselling 2021

NEET Counselling 2021: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will be conducting the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) 2021 counselling in four rounds. The counselling will be conducted on mcc.nic.in for various undergraduate and postgraduate medical courses. Apart from that MCC has made some important announcements regarding the counselling of NEET 2021. 

As per one of the announcements, MCC also informed that no AIQ seats will be reverted back to the states after the AIQ round counselling is concluded. Also, MCC will be conducting counselling for 15% NEET UG seats and 50% NEET PG seats. 

This time, lakhs of candidates are waiting for the NEET 2021 counselling dates. However, MCC has not released the NEET counselling date and time yet. NEET qualified candidates are eagerly waiting for the counselling process to begin. Check other announcements here. 

5 Major Announcements Regarding NEET Counselling Updates by MCC 

  • New or fresh registration of the candidates will be allowed in AIQ round 1, AIQ round 2, AIQ mop-up round only. There will be no fresh registration for candidates in the AIQ stray vacancy round.
  • NEET Counselling for 15% NEET UG seats and 50% NEET PG will be done in four rounds - AIQ Round1, AIQ Round 2, AIQ mop up round and AIQ stray vacancy round.
  • Earlier, All India quota seats were reverted back to states after round 2 counselling, however, from now onwards, it will continue to be filled in the mop-up and stray vacancy rounds.
  • The options for up-gradation and free exit will be available only in the 1st round of NEET counselling. Candidates can not apply for upgradation of seats if they are allotted one in the 2nd round and so on.
  • Candidates joining the allotted seat in the 2nd round of counselling will not be allowed to resign. Also, they will be ineligible to take part in further rounds of any type of counselling. However, candidates who have not joined the allotted seat in round 2 will be eligible for further rounds of counselling subject to forfeiture of the security deposit and fresh registration only in the mop-up round.

The NEET-UG counselling 2021 procedure will include steps such as registration, payment of fee and choice filling, choice filling and locking, processing of seat allotment, merit list result and reporting to the allotted college. Candidates will be allotted seats based on their marks and preferences. All those candidates who will be allotted colleges/courses of their choice will have to carry documents for verification. The same will be prescribed by the respective college. It is expected that MCC will start the NEET 2021 counselling soon on mcc.nic.in.
