NDMC launches YouTube channels for school students, Check details here

With an aim to provide a digital audio-visual learning platform for the teachers and students of New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), two educational YouTube channels - Atal Adarsh Shiksha and Navyug Pragati have been launched  by the NDMC. 

NDMC YouTube online classes

With an aim to provide an online audio-visual learning platform for the teachers and students of New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), two educational YouTube channels - Atal Adarsh Shiksha and Navyug Pragati have been launched by the NDMC. 

NDMC Chairperson Dharmendra stated that in the present situation the schools have risen to the occasion and switched to online teaching. And despite all the odds the teachers have been working hard to find innovative solutions to make learning better and accessible to all. He further added that the teachers will now upload the lessons on the YouTube channel which will help students to understand the lessons with ease and continue with their studies from home. 

The videos will be used during the online classroom sessions and teachers will provide the students with question-answer sheets related to the subject of the video to the students. The NDMC chairperson also stated that this approach will compensate for physical classroom teaching by the teachers. 

YouTube channels to be broadcast by experts

He further stated that the YouTube channels will broadcast videos by experts on different topics for the students from nursery level to class 12. The broadcasting of the lessons will be conducted in phases with the first phase focusing on the primary wing for all the subjects and will be broadcasted from the NDMC Education YouTube Channel. The video lessons will be based on the school syllabus and have been prepared by the NDMC teachers who teach in different schools. 

The chairperson also added that these video lessons will not only help the students of NDMC but every student and the videos and lessons will be used widely.

Online Classes during Lockdown

Classes have been conducted online by the schools across the country due to the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown because of which the schools have been shut since March 2020. The different state boards have been conducting classes for the students through the online mode along with broadcasting the lessons on TV or the radio or the YouTube channels.
