NBEMS Reduces NEET PG 2024 Exam Fee By Rs 750 For All Categories

NEET PG 2024 Exam Fee: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has decided to reduce the examination fee for the NEET postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024 exam by Rs 750. bringing relief to aspiring students. The decision aims to benefit lakhs of candidates appearing for the examinations. This fee reduction applies to candidates submitting their application forms for NEET PG 2024 after January 1, 2024.

Candidates belonging to the general and OBC categories will now have to pay Rs 3500 as per the new fee structure. Meanwhile, the SC, ST, and PWD students will have to pay Rs 2500. The NEET PG 2024 examination fees are lower than what applicants had to pay in 2013. According to the official notification, any candidate submitting the application form for the upcoming examination after January 1, 2024, will have to pay the reduced fee.

Previously, the application fee for the general and OBC categories was Rs 3750, which was raised to Rs 4250 in 2021. Moreover, in 2013, the application fee for candidates belonging to the SC, ST, and PWD categories was Rs 2750, which was which was raised to Rs 3250 in 2021.

Key Player In NEET PG 2024 Fee Reduction

Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Mansukh Mandaviya has been a key mover in lowering NEET PG 2024 examination fees, bringing relief to aspiring students. The decision of the NBEMS has been lauded by the students and medical associations. Furthermore, the president of the NBEMS wrote a letter to the Union Minister stating that fee reduction aims to provide benefits to lakhs of candidates appearing in NBEMS examinations.

The letter further stated that the decision would not have been possible without the inputs from the minister. NBEMS reassured to work towards providing more specialist manpower, conducting quality examinations, and providing training opportunities.
