Maharashtra HSC Exam 2025: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced on Tuesday that examination centres involved in mass copying during Class 10 and 12 board exams will face permanent debarment. This statement came after 42 cases of copying were reported on the first day of the HSC Class 12 exams, as per the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE).
HSC Exam 2025: Strict Monitoring and Penalties
Fadnavis has instructed officials to monitor sensitive examination centers through drones and video surveillance. Schools found facilitating copying will face severe penalties, and staff involved will be dismissed. District collectors have been directed to form special squads to oversee exam proceedings and prevent malpractices.
The chief minister emphasized that district collectors, police officials, and education officers share joint responsibility in ensuring fair examinations. In urban areas, municipal commissioners and police commissioners will oversee the process. Officials have been instructed to visit sensitive centres on key exam days, particularly during English, Maths, and Science papers.
HSC Exam 2025: Exam Security Measures
Over 15 lakh students appeared for the first HSC paper at 3,373 centers. No unauthorized individuals will be allowed within 100 meters of the exam centers. Authorities will ensure students do not carry materials aiding malpractice. A flying squad will conduct surprise checks for copy-free examinations.
