Maharashtra HSC 2022: Students to be awarded 1 mark for error in English exams

Maharashtra Board exams 2022

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has clarified the recent row on the Maharashtra HSC 2022, Examinations English Paper. According to reports, the board is likely to award 1 mark for an error in the English paper. 

According to media reports, after the recent alleged controversy, the Maharashtra board conducted a review meeting to discuss the problems with the Maharashtra Board class 12 English paper in which Questions A5 (i) was found problematic.

Review conducted on question paper

According to the review conducted, the question did not contain the important guidelines which should have been given for the Maharashtra HSC English question paper which is why the committee has decided that all the students who attempted the question will be awarded 1 mark. Media reports further state that the committee did not find any other problem with the paper. 

Maharashtra HSC exams 2022 are being conducted in the offline mode for all the students. The Class 12 English exams were conducted on March 4, 2022, and received special attention after reports of alleged malpractice were circulated.

Students voice concerns

As per reports, students have also alleged that the HSC question paper was not as per the prescribed format and many of the important questions like grammar were not included. Students also demanded immediate action for the question paper and also raised voices against the board on social media. 

The Maharashtra Board class 12 exams will conclude on March 30, 2022. Students attending the Maharashtra Board class 12 examinations can visit the official website for further details on the Maharashtra Board examinations.
