Classes in Kendriya Vidyalayas across the country have resumed the offline class partially according to the guidelines issued by the government. The students from classes 9 to 12 have been allowed to attend the offline classes while the classes 1 to 8 students have been started in some of the Kendriya Vidyalayas where the state governments have given permission for reopening primary classes.
Average attendance of students
According to the data released by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan an average of 42 percent students from class 9, 65 percent students from class 10, 48 percent of class 11, and 67 percent students from class 12 are attending the offline classes. There is an increase in the number of students attending classes considering the reducing cases of COVID-19 in the states. Students attending classes are also required to get consent from the parents. Schools are also conducting online classes for students who are not attending offline classes.
SOPs and Guidelines issued for safety
SOPs have also been issued by the State and Central Government for COVID-19 which are followed by the Kendriya Vidyalayas across the country. Guidelines issued include wearing face masks, keeping individual hand sanitizers, and maintaining social distancing rules in the classrooms.
The students are also keeping in touch with the teachers through different digital platforms and the schools are also establishing regular contact with parents in case of any apprehensions. With a rise in the attendance in Kendriya Vidyalayas across the country, it has been considered as a positive sign for the decrease in the concerns of the parents and the students. Parents are required to help the children make an effective transition since the children have been sitting at home for close to a year.
