Jharkhand CM Clears Proposal: On Monday, the Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren approved a proposal to allocate Rs 700 crore for the salary of teachers and non-teaching staff for the upgraded high schools. A state government spokesperson informed apart from Rs 700 crore allocation for the teachers of upgraded high schools. The CM also approved an allocation of Rs 191.41 crore for the salary of teachers in certain minority schools.
Other Approvals
In addition, Rs 5.10 crore was also approved for teachers of Sanskrit schools. A sum of Rs 10 crore was also sanctioned for scholarships under Chief Minister Special Scholarship Scheme for 2021 - 2022. Also, Rs 60 crore was cleared for modernisation of state polytechnics, the spokesperson said.
Jharkhand Board Examinations
Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has postponed the class 10 and 12 board examinations 2021. The decision of the postponement has been taken due to the surge in COVID-19 cases in the state. JAC 12th exam 2021 were scheduled between 4th to 21st May 2021. While JAC 10th exam 2021 was scheduled between 4th and 21st May 2021. "All the practical examinations of Class 10 and 12 of the year 2021 are postponed with immediate effect. Further information in this regard will be published later," the JAC had said.
Further, the board will hold a meeting on 1st June 2021, and review the situation on the Jharkhand board exam 2021.
