JEE Mains 2022: National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains every year to shortlist candidates for admission to engineering courses at the NITs, IIITs, and Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs). As per the updates, just like 2021, NTA will likely to conduct the JEE Main 2022 exam in four sessions - February, March, April, and May. However, the exam dates or any other information is yet to release.
The JEE Main 2022 exam and other important dates will be notified soon on NTA JEE Main website - jeemain.nta.nic.in. Also, details regarding the JEE Mains 2022 attempts will be released along with the JEE official notification. Since the authorities have not yet released any date as of now, candidates can check the other details about the JEE Main 2022 such as eligibility, syllabus, exam pattern here. They must be aware of it before filling up the application form.

JEE Main Eligibility Criteria - Marks Required To Apply for JEE Mains 2022?
To fill up the application form of JEE Mains, candidates will have to meet the prescribed eligibility criteria by NTA. The criteria include the list of conditions and requirements that students must meet to be eligible for the admission process.

To apply for JEE Mains 2022, candidates must have passed class 12th or any other equivalent qualifying examination in 2020, 2021, or appearing in 2022. Also, for B.Tech admission candidates should have scored a minimum of 75% marks (65% for SC/ST category candidates) or should fall under the top 20 percentile of their respective boards.
For, B.Arch, they must have secured 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 10+2 or equivalent. Also, there is no as such age limit prescribed by the authorities.
JEE Mains 2022 - Number of Attempts
As, in 2021, the exam was held in four sessions February, March, April, and May, therefore, candidates must not get confused regarding the number of attempts. As per the updates, candidates are allowed to appear for JEE Main exam for consecutive three years.
JEE Mains 2022 Syllabus
With speculations making rounds on the internet about JEE Main 2022 paper pattern, experts believe that the syllabus is not likely to change. Since this year the syllabus for class 12 has been revised, NTA would probably continue to follow the syllabus and paper pattern similar to that of JEE Mains 2021.
The National Testing Agency will release the JEE Main 2022 syllabus along with the exam notification. To know about the topics that must be covered during the JEE Main preparation, candidates are advised to know the syllabus. The JEE Main syllabus will include topics and concepts based on the topics of Class 11 and 12 - Maths, Physics and Chemistry.

JEE Mains 2022 Number of Questions
As stated above, the paper pattern of JEE Mains 2022 is expected to be the same. So, based on 2021 exam pattern, there will be a total of 90 questions (need to answer 75 questions) (Each subject will have 20 MCQs and 10 numerical ques out of which 5 is must). For B.Arch and B.Plan there will be 82 and 100 questions respectively.
The exam will be conducted in 13 languages - Assamese, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu in addition to Hindi, English and Gujarati. Read more to know the details of JEE Main exam pattern 2022.
JEE Mains 2022 Marking Scheme
JEE Main exam for B.E/B.Tech courses will carry 300 marks. Paper 2A for B.Arch is conducted for 400 marks and B.Plan is held for 400 marks. For MCQs, 4 marks will be awarded for every correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. Whereas for answer with a numeric value - 4 marks will be awarded for every correct answer and 0 Mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
