JEE Main 2025  Eligibility Criteria: The JEE Main 2025 session 1 exam dates have been announced by the National Testing Agency. NTA will be conducting the JEE Main Session 1 exam 2025 in January 2025. It must be noted that the conducting body has already commenced the applications for session 1 exams. Aspirants interested in applying must first check through the eligibility criteria before registering.

JEE Mains 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for the JEE Mains 2025 session exams, it is mandatory for aspirants to check through the eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria will include the age limit, list of qualifying exams and the year of qualifying exams which will be taken into consideration for the students appearing for the exams. JEE Mains 2025 Eligibility Criteria - Age Limit

According to the age limit mentioned, to appear for JEE Main 2025 there is no age limit. Candidates who have cleared their class 12 or equivalent exam in 2023, and 2024 and appearing in 2025 are eligible to register and apply for JEE Main 2025. It must however be noted that candidates may be required to fulfill the age limit of institutes to which they wish to apply for admissions. 

JEE Main 2025 Session 1 Eligibility Criteria - List of Qualifying Exams

The list of qualifying exams considered for those applying for JEE Mains Session 1 is given below.

  1. The final examination of the 10+2 system, is conducted by any recognized Central/ State Board, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi; etc. 
  2. Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University. 
  3. Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defense Academy 
  4. Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects. 
  5. Any Public School/ Board/ University examination in India or any foreign country is recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). 
  6. Higher Secondary Certificate Vocational Examination. 
  7. A Diploma recognized by AICTE or a State board of technical education of at least 3 years duration. 
  8. General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level. 
  9. High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva. 
  10. Candidates who have completed the Class XII (or equivalent) examination outside India or from a Board not specified above should produce a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) to the effect that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class XII Examination. 
  11. In case the Class XII Examination is not a public examination, the candidate must have passed at least one public (Board or Pre-University) examination earlier.
