The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee has launched an advanced certification course on Deep Learning at Cloudxlab in order to improve the skills of the youth and promote e-learning during the COVID-19 lockdown.
IIT Roorkee Director Professor Ajit K Chaturvedi said that the COVID-19 pandemic has triggered a nationwide lockdown which in turn has turned out to be the best time for the youth as well as others to improve their skills. He also added that this initiative will also be attractive for the users who aim to excel in the technical field.
The faculty members of IIT Roorkee and the other industry experts will be delivering the classes online. The initiative will also equip the students along with the professionals who wish to utilize the lockdown time to improve their skill sets.
Many of the institutions across the country have used the lockdown period to introduce new courses which will help in improving the skill sets of the students.
Recently the Punjab Technical Education and Industrial Department launched online classes for training the ITI students during the lockdown. According to reports, 34 trades have been included in the online courses by the Technical Education and Industrial Training Department.
The initiative was taken in order to make sure that the studies of the ITI students do not remain incomplete due to the lockdown in the country.
With conducting skill set classes for the students online, the students will be using the free time in hand right now to improve their skills for the better along with the added advantage of not missing out on classes during the lockdown.
