The Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University has begun the placement drive on December 2, 2020. Close to 30 companies have participated in the placement process conducted at the institute with 217 jobs being offered with an annual CTC from Rs. 64,26,578 to Rs. 11,50,000 annually offered to the students in the first slot of the placement.
The annual CTC offered in 2020 is an increase from the CTC offered last year at Rs. 58.21 lakh to Rs. 10 lakh per annum. According to the professor in charge of the training and placement office at IIT BHU approximately 1365 students have registered for the job placement interview and the total number of placements in the first slot is 396 which includes 179 pre-placement offers.

According to the statement issued by IIT BHU, the companies which participated in the first slot included AppDynamics, Alphonso, Condenation, Flipkart APK, Microsoft, Jaguar, Cisco, Goldman Sachs, Bajaj, Qualcomm, Applied Material, Confluent, Texas Instruments, MindTickle, Nvidia, Oracle, JPMC, Wells Fargo, Irage Quant, MasterCard, Instabse, KLA Apps, Apple, Cohesity, Vmock, Phonepe GT, Google, Sprinklr, Iber, Thoughtspot, Traceable.ai, Amazon, Citi, Clumio, Dgraph, Dream 11, EXLm Flipkart SDE, Fractal Analytics, Image SDE, Jaguar SDE, SAP Labs, Sprinklr PA, SRIB Res, Western Digital.
Companies in the second slot placement
The second slot for the placements was conducted on December 2, 2020, where companies such as JIO Platform, ServiceNow, Sapient, Citrix, Udaan, VMware, Paytm, Eightfold.AI, Deutsche Bank, Rupeek, Flipkart, Socgen, Envestnet Yodlee, Edgeverve, BNY, SRIB, Myntra, KLA Walmart, GE GRC, Chalo, Jio Manager, Deloitte, Komprise, Paypal, Siemens Healthineers, American Express, SignalChip, Razorpay, Oyo, Junglee Games, Fiserv, ICICI, Axtria, and Bosch.
The different Indian Institute of Technologies across the country have been conducting the placement drives for the students since December 1, 2020. Companies have been offering higher numbers of jobs this year despite the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown. The companies have been conducting the placements for the students in the virtual mode.
