ICSI CSEET May Exam 2021: Apply For Opt-out Facility by 3 May

The students who are not able to computers, webcam or the internet can opt-out for the exam and carry forward their candidature to July 2021 session. CSEET to be held on 8th May.

ICSI CSEET May Exams 2021: The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has provided the facility to opt-out for the May session exam by 3rd May. This facility has been released for those candidates who are not able to arrange the basic requirement to attend the test including laptops or desktops with webcams. Also, those staying at COVID-19 containment zones will be allowed to opt-out from the ICSI CSEET May exam. Such candidates carry forward their candidature to July 2021 session. The ICSI CSEET exam is scheduled to be held on 8th May as a remote proctored test. Candidates can take the test through their laptop or desktop from home or any other convenient place. 

ICSI CSEET May Exams 2021: Opt-Out Facility 

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has released this option for needy candidates. They will be carrying forward the students’ CSEET May 2021 exam fees to July. However, candidates can use the opt-out facility in the following cases - 

  • Candidates living in COVID-19 containment zones or red zones do not have access to cyber cafes.
  • Non-availability of desktops, laptops, webcams at desktops or other technical requirements or internet-related issues.
  • Candidates stuck far from their home without access to the basic requirements to appear for the test. 

Candidates falling under the above-mentioned points can opt-out from May 2021 CSEET exam and carry forward their candidature to July. They will have to submit a declaration in a prescribed format by 3rd May. After receiving the declaration, the registration of the candidate for the May 2021 session of CSEET will be cancelled and will be transferred to the July 2021 session.

ICSI Statement

The official notice reads "Such candidates, who have opted for carry forward from May 2021 session of CSEET to July 2021 session, need not apply again for registration for July 2021 session of CSEET. Their candidature will be automatically transferred to the July 2021 session of CSEET. Once the declaration is submitted, no request for its change/revocation will be entertained under any circumstances. This is a onetime facility being provided to candidates due to Covid 19, without creating any precedent for future."
