ICSE 10th and 12th Exam 2022: As per the latest report, the Council of Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) is likely to hold the upcoming ICSE 10th Exam 2022 and ISC 12th Exam 2022 in hybrid mode. Under this new format, students will be given a choice to appear for the CISCE Board Exams in either online or offline format. The hybrid model of exam is likely to be followed for Term 1 or First Semester Exam which is likely to be held in coming months of November and December 2021. While a formal or official announcement of this is yet to be made by the board, a source close to the CISCE has mentioned that the board has issued a circular to the schools notifying the same.
School-Based vs Home-Based Exam
Media reports have said that the CISCE Board officials have considered the views of all stakeholders before taking the final decision about the mode in which the ICSE Term 1 Exam are to be held. Media reports published in a leading daily has mentioned that Gerry Arathoon, the Chief Executive And Secretary of the Council. For 1st Semester exams of ICSE and ISC Board, students may be allowed to appear for the exam at the school with consent from parents, or students will be allowed to appear for the same at home as well.
Camera Equipped Devices Mandatory for Online Exams
For the conduct of online exams, schools have been asked to make arrangements of the proctors, buffer proctors and also support IT executives. The report also says that every school has been asked to appoint at least one IT support executive to a maximum of three IT support executives as part of the exam preparatory process. Furthermore, the report also says that it should also specify the type of devices that students will use to give the exam such as laptop, desktop, tablet, or smartphone. Moreover, the devices being allowed to appear for in the 1st Semester Exam must contain a camera as per the direction given by the Board. For online exams, students will be penalized if they turn off their cameras for any reason. The report says that For every five minutes of no video streaming, students will lose five marks.
