ICAI CA May 2022 Exam Update: Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has issued an important notice about the upcoming CA May Exam 2022. As a relaxation, the notice says that ICAI has relaxed the criteria and has allowed the students of old courses to appear for ICAI CA May exam 2022. As per the notice, CA aspirants who are currently enrolled under Old Syllabus format will now have time until 13th March to convert to the revised scheme. Candidates who have registered for CA Exams under Old Course will now be able to appear for ICAI CA May Exams 2022 in this attempt. Candidates who are currently enrolled for CA Exams under Old Course can now convert themselves to the New system by visiting the Self Service Portal at https://eservices.icai.org/

Official Notice Released to Confirm Development
With several rumours and speculations doing the rounds, ICAI has released an official notification confirming the provision to convert old syllabus students to new syllabus. As per the notice, candidates with old courses who have already appeared for the December examination can again appear for the May examination. Providing a deadline for the same, the notice says that candidates should “convert themselves from Earlier Scheme to the Revised Scheme of Education and Training implemented w.e.f. 1 July 2017 on or before 13 March.”
The notice reads “Students may note that since the December, 2021 was the last exam of Intermediate (IPC) Course – Under Old Scheme and Final Course Examination – Under Old Scheme, therefore, old course students who wish to appear in May 2022 exams of Intermediate and Final are required to convert themselves from Earlier Scheme to Revised Scheme of Education and Training implemented w.e.f. 1st July, 2017 latest by 13th March.” On similar lines, it also added “Further, the last date of conversion from Common Proficiency Test (CPT) to Foundation is also 13th March, 2022 for appearing in May 2022 Foundation Exams,"
