Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur awarded 46 students under the Yuva Vigyan Puraskar scheme. The chief minister while awarding the students stated that these awards will go a long way in motivating and inspiring the students to perform better. He further added that there is no scarcity of talent in the state while the only thing required is to motivate the students to perform better. The Yuva Vigyan Puraskar scheme was introduced in 2018.
The awards were presented by the state chief minister at the Yuva Vigyan Puraskar function conducted by Himachal Pradesh Science, Technology, and Environment Council.

The Chief Minister further added that the Himachal Pradesh Science, Technology and Environment Council is conducting different programmes including Children science Conference, National Science Day, National Mathematics Day, Eclipse Observation throughout the year promoting and popularising science.

The other officials present at the award ceremony included, Anil Khachi - Chief Secretary, Sudesh Kumar Mokhta - Member Secretary Himachal Pradesh Council for Science, Technology, and Environment, Amarjit Sharma - Director Higher Education, Shubh Karan Singh - Director Elementary Education, Harbans Singh Brascon - Director Information and Public Relations and other officers.
