The Haryana state government the classes for the students from classes 1 and 2 will begin from March 1, 2021, onwards while the schools have reopened for the students from classes 3 to 5 from February 24, 2021, onwards. The schools in the state have been reopening for the students in phases with the higher secondary and secondary section students being called for the physical classes first. According to reports, the classes for the students from 3 to 5 will be conducted from 10 AM to 1:30 PM.
Parents of the students attending the classes are required to submit a consent letter to the school head or the class teacher before sending the students to schools. Parents however are also given the option to continue with the online classes of the students if they feel so as the government has decided that the schools must not force the parents to send their children to school.
Schools for the students from classes 6 to 12 have already begun in the state for the past few months following the COVID-19 pandemic protocols. The decision to reopen the schools for the students from class 3 to 5 was taken later on by the state government and the students attending the class have also been asked to follow the COVID-19 pandemic guidelines issued by the state and the central government along with the Standard Operating Procedures issued.
Precautions taken
The schools will be divided into three wings for better administration. In case a student in a particular wing is found COVID positive the particular wing will be closed down for 10 days and the entire school will be sanitized. If more than one wing is found to be COVID positive the entire school will be closed down for 10 days.
