Haryana government to open 1000 play schools to provide quality education for children in the state

The Haryana State Government will be opening 1000 playway schools to provide quality education and learning among children aged between three to six years. The announcement was made as per the meeting conducted by the Chief Minister along with the state education minister.

The Haryana State Government will be opening 1000 playway schools to provide quality education and learning to children aged between three to six years. The announcement to open the schools was made as per this year’s Budget following which a formal decision was taken in a meeting conducted by the state Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar which was also attended by state education minister Kanwar Pal. 

The directing officers will be upgrading the Anganwadi centres which are currently running inside the premises of primary schools into smart learning playways. The Chief Minister stated that the curriculum of these schools will be designed in the form of animations and audio-visuals to help the children to enhance their cognitive learning. 

As per the statement released by the government, the state chief minister has stated that the findings of the Annual Status of the Education Report 2019 - ‘Early Years’ has highlighted the fact that the first 1000 days of the life of a child is the main dimension of the schools learning. 

He further stated that understanding the string need to encourage the play-based activities that develop the cognitive abilities in the Preschool years of the students for which the 1000 smart playway will be opened.

The Schools across the state of Haryana have been shut since the lockdown which was imposed in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic across the country. With the schools shut, the government has been trying to conduct classes for the students using different online modes. the Haryana Board went ahead and postponed the class 10 and 12 board examinations due to the lockdown.
