Goa Board SSC and HSC Exam 2021 Postponed: As per the latest update, the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) has decided to postpone the upcoming Goa SSC Exam 2021 for Class 10 students and Goa HSC Exam 2021 for Class 12 students today in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic. Revised dates for GSBSHSE 10th and 12th Exam 2021 will be announced by the Board soon with 15-days prior notice for the students. The announcement has come across as major relief for nearly 45 thousand students of Goa Board, who were eagerly demanding postponement of Goa SSC and HSC Exams 2021 in the light of the rapidly rising COVID-19 cases in the state.
As per the schedule or date sheet announced earlier, the Goa Board HSC Exams 2021 were scheduled to commence from 24th April 2021, whereas the SSC Exams for Class 10 students were to being from 13th May 2021. Both these exams have been postponed by the state government in the light of the rapidly increasing COVID-19 cases in the state.
15 Day Notice Before Start of Exams
Media reports have confirmed that the news about postponement of Goa Board SSC and HSC Exam 2021 has been confirmed by Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant. Along with announcing postponement of the GSBSHSE 10th and 12th Exams 2021, the Chief Minister also said that new dates for the exams would be announced later, after reviewing the situation. Along with this, he also added that 15 day prior notice would be given to the students before the start of the exam as per the new dates to ensure that they are able to prepare for the same in time. He also said that new dates are likely to be announced by the Goa Board by 30th April 2021.
Schools, College Closed, No Offline Exams until 30th April
In addition to the postponement of the Goa Board SSC and HSC Exams 2021, the state chief minister also announced that all educational institutions i.e. schools and colleges, would remain closed throughout Goa until 30th April 2021. Mr Samant also said that Offline exams for schools and colleges would also not be held during this period. Decision about if teachers need to visit schools or college campuses during this period would be taken by the Directorate of Education soon.
