GATE 2025 Registration: Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee will close the GATE 2025 registration without late fee today, September 26, 2024. Candidates yet to register for GATE exams can register and submit their applications without a late fee until today. 

GATE 2025 is scheduled to be held in February 2025. According to the schedule issued, after the registration window closes today, an extended application window with late fee will be available until October 7, 2024. Students unable to submit their GATE applications today can register with a late fee until the extended window deadline.

GATE 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for the exams it is mandatory for students to check the GATE 2025 eligibility criteria for the admissions. 

  • Candidates in the 3rd or higher years of any undergraduate degree program or who have completed any of their degree programmes in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Science/ Commerce/ Arts/ Humanities are eligible to appear for GATE 2025.
  • Candidates who have certification from any professional societies which conduct examinations in various fields of engineering must ensure that those examinations are approved by MoE/AICTE/UGC/ UPSC as being equivalent to B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Arch./ B.Planning, etc.
  • Candidates who have completed /are pursuing their qualifying degree from countries other than India: Must be currently in the 3rd or higher years or must have completed their Bachelor’s degree (of at least three years duration) in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Science/ Commerce/ Arts/ Humanities.

The GATE 2025 registration has to be completed in the online mode. Candidates can follow the steps provided below to register

Step 1: Visit the official website of GATE 2025

Step 2: Click on ‘Apply Online’ and navigate to ‘Register Here’ section

Step 3: Enter all required details in the registration link provided

Step 4: Fill out the online application form

Step 5: Upload necessary documents

GATE 2025: List of Required Documents

When applying, students must upload the necessary documents as per the sizes mentioned. Check below the list of documents to be uploaded in the GATE applications.

  • A high-quality image of the candidate’s photograph conforming to the requirements specified in the Information Brochure.
  • A high-quality image of the candidate’s signature conforming to the requirements specified in the Information Brochure.
  • Scanned copy of Category (SC/ST) certificate in pdf format (if applicable).
  • Scanned copy of PwD Certificate in pdf format (if applicable).
  • Scanned copy of Certificate of Dyslexia in pdf format (if applicable).
  • Scanned copy of valid photo Identity document: Aadhar-UID (preferable)/ Passport/ PAN Card/ Voter ID/ Driving License.
