GATE 2022: As per the updates, the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur will commence the registration procedure of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) from 30th August 2021. Interested candidates can fill the GATE 2022 application form on the official website - gate.iitkgp.ac.in. The GATE 2022 registration last date is 24th September 2021. Also, candidates appearing in one or two papers should fill in only one application form. In the case of multiple applications, only one will be accepted and the remaining applications will be rejected without any refund for the paid fee. GATE 2022 exams will be held on 5th, 6th, 12th, and 13th February 2022.
GATE 2022 Important Dates
As per the released dates, the online application portal will open from 30th August 2021. The closing date of the online application portal (regular period) is 24th September 2021. The last date of the online application portal (with a late fee) is 1st October 2021. The correction window for GATE will reopen from 26th October 2021. Candidates can make corrections till 1st November 2021. The last date for change of paper, category and exam city (with addition fee) is 12th November 2021.
GATE 2022 Eligibility criteria
are advised to go through the GATE 2022 eligibility criteria announced by IIT Kharagpur before applying for the exam. As per the eligibility criteria a candidate who is currently studying in the third or higher years of any undergraduate degree programme. Those who have already completed any government-approved degree programme in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Science/ Commerce/ Arts is eligible for appearing in the GATE 2022 exam.
However, the candidates who possess certification from any of the professional societies must ensure that those examinations conducted by the societies are approved by MoE/ AICTE/ UGC/ UPSC as equivalent to BE/ BTech/ BArch/ BPlanning etc. Also, those who have obtained/ are pursuing their qualifying degree from countries other than India: Must be currently in the third or higher years or completed their bachelor’s degree (at least 3 years of duration) in Engineering/ Technology/ Science/ Arts/ Commerce.

About GATE
The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) examination will be conducted in Computer Based Test(CBT) mode within a duration of 180 minutes. A total of 195 centres have been allotted to conduct the GATE exam. The test papers under the GATE 2022 examinations will be entire of objective type which means it will include some Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), while the remaining questions may include Multiple Select Questions (MSQ) and/or Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.
