DU 2022: The University of Delhi has commenced the first-year classes for undergraduate students from today i.e., 2nd November 2022. As per media reports, many colleges conducted orientation programmes to welcome the new batch of students about the syllabi, the societies and the committees. The colleges had posters welcoming the freshers. The members of student organisations such as the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and the National Students' Union of India (NSUI), were seen assisting the new students.
DU UG Admission 2022 Based on CUET Scores
From this year onwards, admission to Delhi University UG courses has been conducted based on CUET scores however, the best of four will be considered in case needed for the tie-breaking process. The application number of the CUET UG is mandatory to apply for CSAS 2022. Before this, DU admissions were done based on the marks obtained by an individual in the Class 12th exam.
Earlier, an official notice was released and according to it, the Class 12th marks will be considered only for breaking a tie, if required. From this academic year, the DU is implementing the NEP and the four-year undergraduate programme.
DU UG Admission 2022 Still Underway
As per the updates, though admissions to 70,000 seats in various DU colleges are still underway, the academic year for first-semester students commenced today. As per media reports, the DU Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh had said that the university was all set for the start of the new academic year and arrangements were made to ensure the availability of all the facilities for the students.
Documents Required For DU UG Admission 2022
As per the official notice, the documents required to get admission in Delhi University UG are - class 10 and 12 marksheet (self-attested), transfer certificate, one photo identification card (Aadhaar card, PAN card, driver’s license or passport), passport-sized photos, category certificate (if applicable). Also, ECA or sports certificates, if the candidate is applying through ECA/ sports categories.
