Delhi Schools Closed: Since Diwali is over, the obvious has happened. Delhi, the capital city of India is once again breaking records in achieving the worst AQI! It’s like smoking 25-30 cigarettes a day without even touching one. Now that we all know how harmful it is for students to travel to school, attend assemblies, and play outside when a thick, smoky haze surrounds them, concerns about student safety have arisen.
Due to this, there have been numerous queries regarding Delhi school closure due to pollution. Some reports are claiming that the administration might decide to shut down school for a few days. However, there is no official confirmation as of now. Parents and students are advised to get in touch with school authorities for detailed information.
Last year, a similar situation occurred during Diwali as the air quality dipped to the ‘severe’ category. Delhi government had to prepone winter break in view of student’s safety and welfare. Thus, schools were ordered to remain shut from November 9 to 18, 2023.
