Delhi School Closed: The Commission for Air Quality Management in NCR and Adjoining Areas (CAQM) has made changes to the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) by making it more rigid. It has instructed the closure of schools in Delhi and NCR under stages 3 and 4.

Earlier, the decision to shut down schools for classes 6, 9, and 11 was left at the state government’s discretion. But now, they have made it mandatory for Delhi, Gurugram, Faridabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar, and Ghaziabad.

In the same way, closing down schools till class 5 (under GPAD 3) is now essential for all the above-mentioned regions. However, for the remaining districts, the decision still rests with govt.
