CBSE Notification: The Central Board of Secondary Education has issued a notification regarding action taken against 34 schools for not adhering to the terms and conditions put forth by the CBSE in its Affiliation Bye-laws, 2018.
As per the notification issued, a show cause notice has been issued to the schools emphasising the importance of compliance with CBSE rules. The board has cautioned schools regarding unknowingly participating in sports events conducted by the 'CBSE Board School Games Welfare Society (CBSE-WSO)' in Agra, Uttar Pradesh.
In the notification, the board mentioned that the organisation has no affiliation with CBSE and warned schools against associating with it or participating in the sports competition.

The board referred to its earlier circular highlighting the importance of complying with the affiliation bye-laws. As per Clause number 12, any non-compliance will be treated as a violation and action will be taken under Chapter 12 of Affiliation bye-laws, 2018. Clause number 9.2 of the bye-laws holds schools accountable for ensuring compliance with all provisions and directions issued by CBSE.
