CBSE Exam 2024: The Central Board of Secondary Education has issued a warning against the circulation of fake news and rumours regarding the CBSE class 10 and 12 board exams. The CBSE in a recent notification released, mentioned various individuals and platforms spreading rumours of paper leaks and fake links for sample papers. 

The CBSE board exams are scheduled to be conducted from February 15 to April 2, 2024. The exams will be conducted across designated exam centres. The board in the notification shared has assured students and parents that comprehensive arrangements have been made to ensure smooth and fair conduct of the board exams.

Social Media Platforms Extorting Money from Students

When mentioning the rumors on social media, the board expresses concerns regarding platforms like YouTube, Facebook, and Telegram spreading rumors regarding paper leaks and access to question papers. Fake links of sample papers are also shared on these social media platforms, the board mentioned. Fake photos and videos of the question paper are also shared on these platforms and shared against payment of a sum by students. 

Action Against Those Guilty

The board warned that such groups and agencies take advantage of the students and parents and such activities can confuse students causing chaos during the examination

The board claims to take vigilant steps actively monitoring the situation and collaborating with law officials to identify and take strict action against such activities.  Students found spreading fake news will be facing disciplinary action under the Unfair Means rules and relevant sections of the IPC.

The public has also been asked to stay alert and vigilant and refrain from engaging in such unverified rumours regarding the exams.
